The Master's Cup is an annual competition that has competitors from New England to Virginia participating. The events are traditional forms, creative breaking, and Olympic-style sparring. Sparring matches will be double elimination for all divisions. The special awards are All Around Individual Champion and All Around Team Champion. Points will be awarded for placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in all events at the end of the competition, all winners will have their points tallied. There will be four All Around Individual Champions: one each for Junior (17 and under) colored belts and black belts, and one each for Senior (18 and over) colored belts and black belts. The Team All Around Champion will be determined using the same point system with pre-registered teams (please refer to the registration packet for more information). ALL collegiate athletes will get a 50% discount on entry fees. Other features of this competition are FULLY MATTED RINGS, ELECTRONIC SCORING (by RingMaster) FOR SPARRING and ELECTRONIC SCORING FOR FORMS.
Creative Breaking Format: We have added a new aspect to the creative breaking scoring. There will be a difficulty level added to each competitors score based on the size of the board, number of boards, difficulty of technique, how the boards are supported and whether spacers are used.
